Our Fleet

The Right Truck for Every Job

We maintain a diverse fleet to handle any load size, from a few boards to a full truckload of heavy beams.

Flatbed Trucks

Capacity: Up to 8,000 BF

Beams, timbers, and large-dimension lumber. Open-top loading allows easy crane or forklift access for oversized pieces.

Stake-Body Trucks

Capacity: Up to 4,000 BF

Dimensional lumber, flooring bundles, and mixed loads. Side-stake design keeps materials secure without full enclosure.

Box Trucks

Capacity: Up to 3,000 BF

Finished products, custom fabrication pieces, and weather-sensitive materials. Enclosed for maximum protection during transit.

Pickup & Trailer

Capacity: Up to 1,500 BF

Small residential deliveries, tight-access job sites, and same-day rush orders within the metro area.

Scheduling

How Delivery Scheduling Works

Standard Delivery

Orders placed by noon are typically scheduled for delivery within 1-3 business days for the metro area, and 3-5 days regionally. We confirm your delivery window 24 hours in advance and call 30 minutes before arrival.

Rush Delivery

Need it today? Same-day delivery is available for orders placed before 10 AM within the Greater New Orleans area. Rush surcharges apply but are reasonable — because we know construction schedules don't wait.

Recurring Delivery

Contractors and builders working on multi-phase projects can set up recurring delivery schedules. We stage your materials and deliver on a cadence that matches your build timeline — weekly, biweekly, or custom.

Pickup at Our Yard

Prefer to pick up? Visit us at 4443 Michoud Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70129. We load your truck or trailer at no charge. Call ahead and your order will be staged and ready when you arrive.

Pricing

What Affects Delivery Cost

We keep delivery pricing transparent and fair. Here are the factors that determine your delivery cost.

Distance

Delivery cost is primarily based on the round-trip distance from our yard at 4443 Michoud Blvd, New Orleans. We optimize routes to keep costs as low as possible.

Load Size & Weight

Larger loads are more efficient per board foot. We always recommend consolidating orders when possible to reduce your per-unit delivery cost.

Vehicle Required

Standard flatbed delivery costs less than specialized equipment. If your order requires a crane, forklift placement, or enclosed box truck, costs adjust accordingly.

Site Accessibility

Easy access (paved, level, wide enough for our trucks) keeps costs down. Tight residential streets, steep grades, or unpaved sites may require additional handling time.

Scheduling

Standard scheduled delivery is most cost-effective. Rush delivery (same-day or next-day) and weekend or holiday delivery carry surcharges.

Special Handling

Some materials require extra care — finished furniture, fragile antique pieces, or extremely large beams. We quote special handling on a case-by-case basis.

Specialized Services

Special Handling for Unique Loads

Not every delivery is straightforward. We have the experience and equipment to handle complex logistics.

Oversized Beams

Beams over 20 feet or exceeding standard truck width require specialized loading, securing, and sometimes escort vehicles. We coordinate all logistics and permitting.

Finished Furniture

Custom-fabricated pieces like tables, mantels, and shelving units are blanket-wrapped and padded for delivery. We carry them inside and place them where you want.

Multi-Stop Deliveries

Working with multiple contractors on a single project? We can split a single load across multiple delivery locations within the same route for efficiency.

Crane & Forklift Service

For deliveries where materials need to be placed on upper floors, rooftops, or beyond reach of standard unloading, we arrange crane or telehandler service.

Zone 3 — Gulf South

150-500 miles3-5 Business Days

Key cities: Biloxi, Gulfport, Mobile, Pensacola, Jackson (MS), Hattiesburg, Beaumont, Houston, Tallahassee, Panama City

Gulf South deliveries are scheduled weekly using our own fleet for loads under 5,000 BF, and partner carriers for larger shipments. Materials are palletized and strapped for transit security. Delivery charges range from $350-$800 depending on distance and volume. Minimum 500 BF order required.

Zone 4 — National

500+ miles7-14 Business Days

National shipments are handled through our network of LTL (less-than-truckload) and FTL (full truckload) freight partners. All shipments are palletized, banded, and corner-protected. We handle all freight booking, BOL documentation, and tracking. Freight costs are quoted per shipment based on weight, dimensions, and destination zip code.

Packaging Methods

Standard Banding

Dimensional lumber and flooring are stacked on stickers, banded with steel or poly strapping at 24-inch intervals, and corner-protected with cardboard edge guards. This is our default packaging for local and regional delivery.

Palletized Shipping

For freight shipments, materials are stacked on 40x48 GMA pallets, banded, corner-protected, and stretch-wrapped. Pallet weight is kept under 2,500 lbs for standard LTL handling. Oversize pallets are available for beams exceeding 8 feet.

Custom Crating

Live-edge slabs, finished furniture, and fragile architectural elements are packed in custom-built wooden crates with foam padding and moisture barriers. Crating charges apply but prevent damage on high-value shipments.

Blanket Wrap Service

Finished custom fabrication pieces (tables, mantels, desks) are blanket-wrapped and loaded on air-ride trucks for white-glove delivery. Available for local and regional zones.

Estimate Your Cost

How Delivery Pricing Is Determined

We calculate delivery costs based on a transparent formula. Here is exactly how we arrive at your delivery quote so there are no surprises.

1

Base Mileage Rate

We start with the round-trip distance from our yard at 4443 Michoud Blvd to your delivery address. Local deliveries (under 50 miles) use a flat-rate structure. Regional and long-distance deliveries are calculated at a per-mile rate that decreases as distance increases — longer hauls are more efficient per mile.

2

Load Weight & Size

We factor in the total weight and cubic volume of your order. Heavier loads require larger vehicles, and bulky items like 24-foot beams need flatbed trucks. We always recommend the most cost-effective vehicle for your load size — we will not send a flatbed for 200 BF of flooring.

3

Service Level & Extras

Standard delivery (scheduled window) is the most economical option. Same-day rush service carries a surcharge. Additional services — liftgate delivery, inside placement, upstairs carry, crane unload — are quoted individually based on your site requirements and access conditions.

Free Delivery on Orders Over 2,000 BF

Orders of 2,000 board feet or more within Zone 1 (metro New Orleans, 50-mile radius) qualify for complimentary delivery. For larger orders in Zones 2 and 3, delivery costs are significantly discounted or waived entirely — ask about our current thresholds.
